What is the storage temperature of the laser? Do you need antifreeze? How should water cooling pipes and related devices be protected?
In the cold winter, when the air temperature is lower than 0 °C, the liquid water will condense to form a solid, and the volume will become larger during the solidification process; this will "crack" the pipes and components in the water cooling system. (The chiller system includes a chiller, laser and output head).
Do not turn off the water cooler at night.
If there is absolutely no power outage in the local area, the water cooler will not be turned off at night. At the same time, to save energy, the temperature of low temperature and room temperature water should be adjusted to 5 ~ 10 ℃ to ensure that the coolant is in a circulating state and the temperature is not lower than the freezing point.
Use antifreeze as a coolant.
Antifreeze must be used when the use environment often has power outages and does not have the conditions to drain the coolant every day. Antifreeze's base liquid is generally composed of alcohol and water, which requires high boiling point and flash point, high specific heat and conductivity, low-temperature viscosity, not easy to foam, and does not corrode metal parts, rubber hoses, etc. When selecting or preparing antifreeze, its freezing point should be 5 ° C lower than the minimum temperature of the use environment.
Choice of antifreeze:
Add a professional brand antifreeze to the water cooler, such as Clariant's AntifrogenN antifreeze. The ratio is 3: 7 (3 is antifreeze and 7 is water). After adding the antifreeze, it can resist -20 ° C without freezing. If the temperature is lower than this range, please consult the water cooler supplier to confirm the antifreeze ratio.
If the professional brand is inconvenient to purchase, you can buy large bottled car antifreeze Shell OAT-45 ℃, which can be directly used in the laser water cooling system. The dilution ratio can refer to the following table. The reason for the configuration is that it will affect the flow rate and flow rate of the coolant in actual use, which will cause a water cooler flow alarm or laser heat dissipation problems. Precautions for use of antifreeze:
Any antifreeze solution cannot completely replace deionized water and cannot be used for a long time all year. After winter, the pipes must be cleaned with deionized water or purified water, and the use of deionized water or purified water as a coolant should be restored.
At the same time, during holidays or during a long power outage, drain the water in the laser and related pipes of the water cooler.
In extremely cold winter weather, all cooling water in the laser, laser output head, processing head, and water cooler must be drained cleanly to effectively protect the entire water cooling pipeline and related devices.
Extremely cold weather will cause irreparable damage to the optical part of the laser. Please be sure to store and use the laser in strict accordance with the storage temperature and operating temperature indicated in our laser manual. Attention must be paid to prevention and safeguards to prevent unnecessary economic losses.
If the Laser Equipment is shipped to or stored in cold areas, the output cables and lasers must be filled with antifreeze before being stored or shipped to avoid loss due to freezing damage during storage and transportation.
